Nowadays, in the 21st century, there are still many kinds of discrimination in our society in all parts of the world. Even in developed countries there are lots of cases of racism, sexism, etc. In Spain, as unexpected as it sounds, there are many cases of sexism, such as sexual harassment to women everyday or the differences in the salaries due to the fact that we are women. Other means of discrimination in our society is racism. It may have improved in the past century but some clichés remain in our society about Asian people and black people and we don´t realize how much harm they cause to these people. All of this could be changed just if everyone is aware of what we do and say so we help each other to avoid any kind of discrimination and live in a respectful world.

Nowadays, social sites are part of our daily lives. We use them as a new form of communication in the same way letters or even emails were used in the past. But are they actually convenient for us? Firstly, their major advantage is their capacity of making us able to communicate at high speeds from different places. Besides, they improve the freedom of expression, since everybody can give their opinion on them. On the other hand, they create a huge dependence that affects our personal relationships with family, partners and friends.   In the past, people used to spend more time talking with their relatives or meeting friends. In conclusion, it could be said that social sites are a good tool but we don’t use them correctly. I hope that in the future our use of social sites will be balanced. When we are connected we get disconnected of real life.

Recent studies prove that more than 75 percent of the youth tend to eat junk food rather than homemade meals.   Besides, each day people become lazier and do less sport each day, so health conditions are decreasing. One aspect would be the diet. If young people ate less fast food, they would save lots of money and it would have many health benefits, such as weight loss and having better eating habits, which usually has a long term outcome. Secondly, physical activity is also a very important aspect.   Dietitians affirm that the best way to keep a healthy lifestyle remains also in doing some sport, or simply have a 30-minutes walk a day. There are many options to choose, like gyms and sports clubs, which may help us to relax and free our minds. To conclude with, it is essential to combine sports and a healthy diet to keep fit and healthy,   due to it is not all about stop eating or doing too much sport, it is just the middle point.

An opinion essay Acknowledging the importance of knowing foreign languages these days, we strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to spend one year abroad, in order not only to learn the language but also to grow as a person.  Nowadays, the knowledge of foreign languages is a very demanded requirement by businesses. Being at least a year of your life abroad opens a lot of doors because you are able to learn a new culture and language, also new people, foods, and other lifestyles. In addition, spending a year abroad gives you self-confidence, because when a new skill is mastered, confidence increases. In order to master a new language, conversations with native or fluent speakers are essential, so if you spend a year abroad, you will end up meeting new people and talking to them thus decreasing your shyness.

Two months ago, I decided to go to the USA in order to improve my fluency in the language. Moreover, I have some friends there and they invited me to stay at their place. Firstly, I woke up at 5 am in the morning, and I arrived Los Angeles 14 hours later, although it was still early there. Then, my friend Holland picked me up, helped me to carry my package and brought me to her place, due to the others live in the same neighbourhood. The following day, we decided to go to the Mall to do some shopping first, and I must admit I was astonished about the size of the place, it was massive!
