Presentation

Hi everyone! My name is Juana González, I'm seventeen years old and I come from the north of Spain. I am currently living in Málaga, in a semi-detached house with my parents and my little brother. I've been living here since I was seven years old because of my father's job.

In  my free time I like doing sport. Every week, I play voleyball with my best friends, we form a team called UNIDEBA. We play a lot of matches during the year, and we have a really good time together. 
I also like swimming, but it is more a kind of hobby, since I don't compete.

At the moment I'm studying at college, I'm very tired and we're still at the middle of the school year. I'm trying to get good grades because I want to study engineering, which is a very difficult degree.

What makes you happy? Happiness is what every human being pursuits to achieve  in life. Nevertheless, every person has a different conception of happiness. Nowadays, social sites are part of our daily lives. We use them as a new form of communication in the same way letters or even emails were used in the past. But are they actually convenient for us? Firstly, their major advantage is their capacity of making us able to communicate at high speeds from different places. Besides, they improve the freedom of expression, since everybody can give their opinion on them. On the other hand, they create a huge dependence that affects our personal relationships with family, partners and friends.   In the past, people used to spend more time talking with their relatives or meeting friends. In conclusion, it could be said that social sites are a good tool but we don’t use them correctly. I hope that in the future our use of social sites will be balanced. When we are connected we get disconnected of real life.

My most exciting experience

Two months ago, I decided to go to the USA in order to improve my fluency in the language. Moreover, I have some friends there and they invited me to stay at their place. Firstly, I woke up at 5 am in the morning, and I arrived Los Angeles 14 hours later, although it was still early there. Then, my friend Holland picked me up, helped me to carry my package and brought me to her place, due to the others live in the same neighbourhood. The following day, we decided to go to the Mall to do some shopping first, and I must admit I was astonished about the size of the place, it was massive! Then, I couldn´t imagine who I was staring at, I was sharing a bank with Rihanna. I was shocked, so the first thing that came out of my mouth was: Oh my god!
